Tarryn Sheehy

Tarryn is devoted to putting people at the heart of every decision she makes as General Manager People and Culture at Norths Collective. She believes wholeheartedly in attracting talent that shares the group’s core values and in guiding future leaders to excel. Nothing excites her more than watching new team members blossom into high-performing hospitality professionals.

Her expertise lies in employee relations, talent management, employee experience, training & development, communication and building out a roadmap that ensures both our people and business thrives.

Growing up in a family that owned hospitality businesses and a training organisation, she cultivated her love for the industry early on—often running barista courses on weekends. She began her career in hotels on the breakfast shift (too young then to pour drinks!), she steadily progressed into leadership roles. During that journey, she discovered a passion for Human Resources, drawn by the opportunity to help individuals reach their full potential.

For over a decade, Tarryn has specialised in HR and organisational development within the clubs and hospitality sectors. She is drawn to clubs in particular for their deep community impact. Armed with a bachelor’s degree, postgraduate certification in Human Resources Management, and trainer and assessor qualifications, Tarryn embraces continuous learning to stay ahead in her field.

When she’s not shaping a positive workplace culture, Tarryn unwinds with her two lively fur-babies and treasures time spent with family and friends. Her mission is to foster inclusive, growth-focused teams that reflect Norths Collective’s commitment to its people and community.

Norths Collective acknowledges and pays respect to the past, present and future Traditional Custodians and Elders of this nation and the continuation of cultural, spiritual and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
