Challenge Tweed T/A Synergy Group

PROUDLY SUPPORTED BY SEAGULLS TWEED HEADS

Synergy Group provides supported employment for people in the Tweed Community living with permanent disabilities, who are unable to get work in open employment. Each day up to 50 employees living with physical and mental disabilities arrive at their jobs with Synergy, and in return, they get more than just a pay check.

Employees with Synergy Group find purpose and a sense of community and belonging in their roles at the warehouse. They have flexible working arrangements in an environment where they are supported and understood, goals and achievements are recognised and rewarded, and on-going education and skill training is a priority.

The Support from seagulls over the past year has made such a huge difference in allowing Synergy to stream line their day to day business and in turn be so much more productive. They have been able to replace old heavily worn out equipment such as a washing machine, tumble dryer and new coat racks for the white coats worn in the production rooms, plus also add new equipment to grow the production line including: 4 new stainless steel tables, 4 new production scales, new plastic pallets, a new pallet jack with scales and new ticket guns. In addition to this Synergy have also been able to install a new air conditioning unit to their main production room along with a new industrial hand dryer, and purchase a new replacement lap top for a vital one that was broken and beyond repair.
