North sydney bears & junior league

PROUDLY SUPPORTED BY NORTHS COLLECTIVE

The North Sydney District Rugby League Football Club (NSDRLFC) has a proud tradition in rugby league and was founded in 1908, making it one of the original founding members of the New South Wales Rugby Football League.

The North Sydney Bears home ground is the historic and beautiful North Sydney Oval, right in the heart of St Leonards Park, with The Bears also having recently become a feeder club to the Sydney Roosters NRL team. The NSDRLFC compete in the Canterbury Cup NSW, Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership, Jersey Flegg Cup (under 20s competition), SG Ball Cup under 18s and the Harold Matthews under 16s.

Norths Collective has a strong connection with Rugby League with a special focus on investing in the junior players. Through annual support to the North Sydney District Junior Rugby League, Norths Collective has been able to supply financial sponsorship that has reached well over half a million dollars across the last five years, seeing steady growth in the junior league with 8 clubs spanning the North Shore and Northern Districts with players from under 6 through to A grade. 2018 saw the introduction of the Jersey Flegg team – the under 20 men’s side, along with high-performance development squads and intensive training programs for these young athletes, opening pathways to every future success with NRL and beyond
