Tweed Heads Seagulls Women’s Team

PROUDLY SUPPORTED BY NORTHS COLLECTIVE

The Gold Coast Airport Tweed Seagulls Women’s Team have cemented themselves into the history books having taken part in the inaugural Queensland Rugby League state-wide premiership competition.

The journey is already shaping up to be an exciting one for the Tweed Seagulls Club having just recently fielded a Women’s team for the first time in 2019. The club has recognised the importance and is up to taking the lead in promoting the Women’s game by sustainably investing in the Women’s program by creating elite pathways and equal opportunity for those who want to make a career out of the sport they love.

The groups’ success has attracted elite players from as far as North Queensland, Ipswich, Sydney and New Zealand. However, maintaining a focus on supporting the local talent from Northern New South Wales and the Gold Coast is key for the club. The girls have proven themselves amongst some of the most established teams within the Women’s game having placed 3rd in the 2020 Holcim Cup competition.
